Things to do in Laggan township

Laggan Hotel

Take a beautiful scenic drive to the little township of Laggan and its famous pub. Great food and an intimate country atmosphere.

Meet the locals around an outdoor wood fire, or stay toasty warm with country cooked meals inside.

Dining - Laggan Pantry

Laggan Pantry is a restaurant in-demand, not just for its charming setting in the gardens of the Old Police Barracks (circa 1837) but for its exquisite fare of rich, local produce. It is fully licensed with a “ modern Australian menu”. Enjoy the atmosphere of the cosy fire in winter, and outdoor dining in the warmer months. Bookings essential.


Laggan Markets

Don't miss the monthly markets. If you have never been to a country market, then this is one not to miss. It is a local hub and the scones, jam and cream are delicious.


Taralga is just a 40 minutes drive through scenic landscape from Crookwell.

Stop off at Laggan along the way.

The Argyle Inn

Further on from Laggan is the newly refurbished Argyle Inn at Taralga.  It is the ultimate in country style dining, with terrific food and menu packages, and a stylish atmosphere in a historic hotel.

The bar and bistro open Friday through Sunday (check opening times), and Saturday evening in the dining room where bookings are essential.

Bathurst is just 1hour and 52 minutes away on a newly sealed road.

The most amazing drive through picturesque landscape crossing convict built culverts to the historic town of Bathurst. Just beautiful anytime of year. It passes through the gold mining town of Tuena. Shop and sightsee in the country metropolis of Bathurst.
